INTA - Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuaria INTA’s general goals are: to increase agricultural production and product quality to ensure domestic supply and a substantial increase of exports; to extend geographic sources and destination of Argentina's agricultural exports, to increase their value and to find access to new markets; to promote conservative agriculture, to evaluate rural ecosystems condition and to correct environmental problems; to improve that all components of the agricultural sector receive the benefits of technological change; to ensure a fair economic distribution through all components of the commercial chain. General research and extension strategies are oriented towards generating, adjusting and transferring technology for the development of production systems of all regions of Argentina. Development includes technology for increasing productivity, increasing the profitability of the agriculture sector, improving rural family quality of life, improving diversity and quality of agriculture products, managing natural resources in a sustainable way. Applied research aims to develop processed products with greater added value; to diverse production; to integrate pests and diseases control to conserve and to manage natural resources; to administrate rural enterprises. Adaptive experimentation and rural extension aims to improve technology adoption, to develop regional economies and smallholders systems, to detect production systems demands and to train professionals, farmers and rural workers. |
