The 20 Partners who contribute to the CLARIS LPB consortium have a combined history of world class, internationally-recognized research in the fields of climate, land-use, agriculture and hydrology. They all contribute to international Programmes or Projects, some have very strong links with stakeholders or governmental decision-makers. Thus, the strength and depth of the existing links between several of the partners is pivotal to a successful outcome of this proposed project. The synergy of both the European and South American partners, each with distinctive yet highly complementary areas of expertise, will allow a greater level of scientific excellence to be achieved than would otherwise be possible at an individual level.
