INA - Instituto Nacional de Agua The National Water Institute (INA) is a federal agency of Argentina's Under-Secretariat for Water Resources, whose objective is to undertake studies, research, develop and render specialized services in the fields of water use, control and conservation. Through time INA gradually became the only scientific and technological agency in Argentina engaged in all aspects that are crucial to the implementation and development of a national water policy from an integrated approach. Special emphasis is laid on providing technical assistance to provinces, municipalities and companies wishing to apply state-of-the-art methods for a better use of this vital resource. INA 's activities make focus on: water biogeochemistry; environmental impact and risk assessment due to public works and water courses accidents; pollution site assessment and remediation technologies; surface and groundwater hydrology; urban hydrology; floods, droughts and spills early hydrological warning systems; large water works hydraulics; fluvial, maritime and industrial hydraulics; water resources information; irrigation and drainage engineering; wastewater and residues treatment engineering; erosion and sedimentation control engineering; water quality and water resources.
